‘EOGHAN MURPHY RIPS OFF TAXPAYERS’ Says MEP Candidate
The Minister responsible for the housing crisis, Eoghan Murphy, spent €36,000 of taxpayers’ money on Saint Patrick’s Day trips to Asia and South America.
Adrienne Wallace the MEP Candidate for Ireland South has slated this excessive waste of tax payers money. Ms. Wallace said, ‘This is a huge amount of public money being spent on luxurious items for Minister Murphy. Included in this fugure was €2,604 for a limousine hire in Tokyo. Another €1114 was spent on car hire in Korea and Murphy and his two advisors ran up a bill for €5,134 by staying at five-star hotels.”
Ms. Wallace added, ‘It never struck the posh boy Minister so use public transport – even though his party talks hypocritically about climate change and advocates more carbon taxes. There is something completely amoral about this type of spending- when hundreds are attending soup kitchens in Dublin because they have no homes.’
Ms. Wallace has called for the local and Euro elections to drive out Fine Gael and their partners Fianna Fail. She continued that ‘The class divide is ever-widening. While my generation get crushed by high rents and car insurance T.D.s give themselves excessive pay rises and take luxurious holidays. It’s time for change. I’m encouraging everyone to Vote Adrienne Wallace number 1 on May 24th and give equality a chance.’
